Ability to Withdraw Funds
It is the policy of Blue Flame Credit Union to delay the availability of funds deposited by personal
checks, third party checks and certain other instruments.  during the delay (hold period), funds will
not be available for cash withdrawal or used to pay checks drawn on the account.
The hold periods
on checks are generally two (2) business days for "local" checks and five (5) business days for
"non-local" checks.

Determining the Availability of Deposit - The length of the delay is counted in business days
from the day of the deposit.  Every day is a business day except Saturdays, Sundays and federal
holidays.  If you make a deposit on a business day that we are open, we will consider that day to
be the day of your deposit.  However, if you make a deposit on a day we are not open or on a
Saturday, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open.
The length of the delay varies depending on the type of deposit and is explained below.

Same-Day Availability - Funds from the following deposits are available on the same business
day of your deposit:
* U.S. Treasury checks that are payable to you,
* Wire transfers, including pre-authorized credits, such as social security benefits and payroll payments
If you make the deposit in person to one of our employees, funds from the following deposits are also
available on the same business day of your deposit:
* Cash, checks on us.
* State and local government checks that are payable to you.
* Payroll, cashier's, certified and teller's checks that are payable to you.
* Federal Reserve Bank checks, Federal Home Loan Bank checks, postal money orders and traveler's
checks, if these items are payable to you.
If you do not make your deposit in person to one of our employees (for example, if you mail the deposit),
deposits may be subject to hold until verification of the deposit can be made on the next business day.

Other Check Deposits - The delay for checks and certain other check deposits depends on whether the
check is a local or non-local check.  To determine whether a check is a local or non-local check, look at
the routing number on the check.  If the first four (4) digits of the routing number are 0530, 0531, 2531 or
2532, then the check is a local check.  Otherwise, the check is a non-local check.
In some instances we will treat checks as local or non-local based upon the location of the bank by which
the check is payable, not on the routing number on the bottom of the check.  For example, if a Credit Union
share draft is payable by a Credit Union that is located in the same check processing region as our bank,
the share draft will be treated as a local check, even if the draft is payable through a bank that is located
outside of our check processing region as determined by the routing number on the check. If you have any
questions about a specific check, please ask you branch manager.

Our policy is to make funds from these checks available as follows:
1. Local checks -  The first $100.00 from a deposit of local checks will be available on the first business
day after the day of your deposit.  The remaining funds will be available on the second business day after
the day after the day of your deposit.  For example: If you deposit a local check of $500.00 on Monday,
$100.00 of the deposit is available on Tuesday.  The remaining $400.00 is available on Wednesday.
2. Non-Local checks - The first $100.00 from a deposit of local checks will be available on the first
business day after the day of your deposit.  The remaining funds will be available on the fifth business
day after the day of your deposit.  For example:  If you deposit a $500 non-local check on Monday, $100.00
of the deposit will be available on Tuesday.  The remaining $400.00 will be available on Monday, the
following week.
3. If you deposit both categories of checks, $100.00 from the checks will be available on the first business
day after the day of your deposit, not $100.00 from each category of checks.

Longer Delays May Apply - If we are not going to make all funds from your deposit available at the
times shown above, we will notify you at the time you make your deposit.  We will also tell you when
the funds will be available.  If your deposits are not made directly to a credit union employee or if we
decide to take this action after you have left he premises, we will mail you the notice the next business
day after we receive your deposit.

Special Rules For New Accounts - If you are a new member, some exceptions may apply, during the
first thirty (30) days your account is open.  (See credit union for further details)

Exceptions to Check Hold Policy - Members' checks for up to $1,000.00 may be deposited without a
hold period if you have: 1) Direct deposit, or 2) Share Certificate, or 3) IRA of $1,000.00 minimum, or
4) Share balance of $1,000.00 or more for the past quarter, or 5) Active current loan balance in good
standing.

The accrual of dividends is not delayed.  Dividend Calculations begin the day of the deposit.
